As the name implies, there are three and sometime 4 powerful medications that are carefully combined to produce really nice results. TriMed [TriMix] is a mixture of Papaverine, Phentolamine and Alprostadil (PGE).
Each of these drugs produce a vasodilating effect when injected into the penis. The injection is done using a very small needle, inserted into the proper area along the shaft of the penis. Trimix injection therapy is recognized as a viable treatment for erectile dysfunction by the American Urological Society.

You will be instructed on the proper technique of how to inject yourself. The needle is very small, the technique is easy to learn, and the injection is very simple and painless. After the injection, you will have time to comfortably and privately wait in the exam room to achieve an erection. This will take approximately 10 to 20 minutes. The goal for the first TriMed Injection will be to achieve an erection that is firm enough for sexual penetration. We use a scale of 0 to 10, with zero out of 10 being no reaction at all, a 6 out of 10 being just firm enough for sexual penetration, and up to 10 out of 10 being the most favorable erection results.
With our Advanced TriMed Protocol, we further refine the dosing as you initially begin to use TriMed once at home. Depending on your in-clinic results, your OMC physician will provide you with three (3) different doses of TriMed Injections of varying strengths to take home to continue to experiment. For example, you may have been given three (3) injections at the dose of 8, 10, and 12 units.
