If you’re one of the 50 million men in the U.S. suffering from male pattern baldness, you know the helplessness of discovering thinning hair and expanding bald spots. With innovative therapies from Oklahoma Men’s Clinic like scalp PRP with or without Wharton’s Jelly, specially-compounded GRŌ© topical products, and topical exosome therapy, your hair loss doesn’t have to mean the end of thick, healthy hair. Designed to work effectively on their own but better together, our enhanced solutions combine the best in proven hair growth therapies to halt or even reverse your hair loss.
More than half of men over the age of 50 will experience the effects of male pattern baldness, a genetic condition that causes hair thinning and loss in the form of receding hairlines or an overall decrease in hair thickness and density. Men with the baldness trait produce certain hormones that affect hair follicles in a particular way, and signs of hair loss will become evident after puberty, either as a rapid decrease in the population of hair or as a slow, chronic progression of thinning hair, depending on a person’s sensitivity to the hormones.
Whether you have a hormone imbalance, an underlying medical issue, or a genetic predisposition to hair loss, Oklahoma Men’s Clinic can create a custom hair restoration plan that works with your body’s unique needs, integrating safe, natural, and effective therapies including:
At Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, we take a comprehensive approach to your hair thinning and loss, using non-invasive therapies that are scientifically and medically proven.
Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, is the primary hormone responsible for accelerating hair loss and the process of male pattern baldness. DHT is one of the more powerful androgens and is essentially a more potent version of testosterone, playing a role in many of the same physiological and sexual functions as testosterone like acne, prostate growth, and facial hair growth. In men, DHT is converted into testosterone through action of the 5 alpha-reductase, or 5AR, enzyme, which is present in the liver, skin, and prostate. About 10% of testosterone is normally and naturally converted into DHT.
Because it is stronger, DHT can amplify the impact of testosterone throughout the body. When DHT binds to hair follicles—up to five times more aggressively than testosterone—it shrinks the hair follicles, shortens the growth phase of the hair growth cycle, and lengthens the dormant, phase all of which prevents the follicles from being able to support healthy hair from growing as long. Eventually, it will also prevent new hair from even breaking the surface of the scalp.
The key to managing male pattern baldness is balancing DHT levels so the hair growth cycle can function properly. This is done by controlling 5-AR activity. When 5-AR is suppressed, the amount of DHT in the body decreases. If 5-AR levels begin to increase, more testosterone is converted into DHT and more DHT is circulating through the body.
While increases in DHT levels don’t necessarily cause hair loss, genetics can prompt hair follicles to become more sensitive to DHT molecules, making the follicles weaker, shorter, thinner, and less capable of supporting healthy hair. This means that if you are already genetically inclined to male pattern baldness, the effect of increased levels of DHT is more pronounced, resulting in more dramatic hair loss and baldness.
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, contains around five times the amount of platelets that are found in your blood, delivering powerful growth factors that can prompt inactive hair follicles to enter the active phase. PRP therapy for the scalp is a non-surgical procedure that uses your own body’s PRP to slow, halt, or even reverse mild to moderate hair thinning and loss.
Scalp PRP is highly effective as a standalone therapy, but it can be further enhanced with supplemental applications designed to optimize results.
At Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, our PRP therapy for scalp can be supplemented and upgraded for better, faster results, with:
While most patients experience the best results using PRP, Wharton’s Jelly, and GRŌ© together, our comprehensive product offering allows us to provide competitive, low-cost alternatives to other hair replacement solutions that are just as, if not more, effective, such as combining a small patch PRP with GRŌ© topical.
*Topical exosomes are only offered as an upgrade to scalp PRP or PRP with Wharton’s Jelly
GRŌ© is an exclusive line of specially compounded topical products from Oklahoma Men’s Clinic scientifically formulated to address hair loss resulting from androgenic alopecia. When used as a supplement to Scalp PRP, GRŌ© products address your unique hair loss problems more effectively and consistently, even if you haven’t had success in the past.
GRŌ© Plus (Formula 82F) contains minoxidil and finasteride and is intended for mild to moderate hair loss.
Topical minoxidil is a common hair loss medication and has been the #1 FDA-approved topical therapy for male pattern baldness in the U.S. for over 35 years. It works by widening and loosening the blood vessels to improve blood flow to the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth. Unlike other hair regrowth products, topical minoxidil does not act on the androgen hormones, making it safe for both men and women over the age of 18 and an excellent option for people concerned about the potential hormonal side effects of other hair loss solutions.
Topical finasteride is a Type 2 5-AR inhibitor FDA-approved for hair loss since 1997, and works by decreasing the production of DHT tissues in the scalp. Topical finasteride has a similar effect to oral finasteride, significantly improving hair count, but its lower systemic exposure and impact on serum DHT concentrates makes it better tolerated.
In clinical trials, 86% of patients who used GRŌ© Plus (Formula 82F) saw a complete halt in the progression of hair loss, while 65% experienced a substantial increase in hair growth. In another study, 94.1% of men with male pattern baldness who used this combination of finasteride and minoxidil at the same time saw improvements in hair volume.
GRŌ© Plus (Formula 82F) also contains tretinoin, which is a type of retinoid that stimulates hair regrowth by increasing the production of skin cells, and topical fluocinolone, a corticosteroid used to relieve itching, swelling, redness, or general discomfort caused by skin conditions.
In addition to lowering DHT, these medications also help expand the blood vessels, increasing blood flow and blood circulation to the scalp and giving hair follicles the nutrients they need to produce and strengthen new hair strands.
Most hair loss medications work by blocking the 5-AR enzyme to reduce or halt the conversion of testosterone into DHT. What makes OMC’s GRŌ© therapy application different is the unique formulation designed to improve efficacy, stability, and usability while reducing irritation. By combining high-quality, complementary ingredients of varying strengths, OMC can provide customized hair loss solutions for all stages of hair thinning and loss.
At Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, our hair restoration solutions can be enhanced with revolutionary topical exosome therapy, a natural method that utilizes biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids to regenerate and promote hair regrowth in the early stages of hair loss.
Exosomes are special extracellular vesicles that play a vital role in cell communication, boasting potent growth factors and enzymes that trigger precise responses from the body’s immune system. Moreover, they contain RNA and mRNA, essential cellular building blocks that counteract the androgen hormone DHT, facilitating protein production and synthesis.
The topical exosome therapy offered at Oklahoma Men’s Clinic is unparalleled, utilizing the finest and most advanced products available, including the world’s first reproducible pure exosome, manufactured in accordance with strict FDA drug and vaccine production guidelines. These exosomes are sourced and processed in the United States from master banks with single donor, pre-covid sources. Our formula boasts RNA content, purity, and potency unmatched by our competitors. Each batch undergoes rigorous testing for sterility and endotoxin, and we employ various techniques such as protein concentration, dSTORM visualization, NanoSight sizing, mRNA sequencing, Mass Spectrometric protein sequencing, flow cytometric surface marker testing, and visual purity assay for quantification and qualification.
Topical exosome therapy operates at the cellular level by regulating androgen receptor genes, stimulating and rejuvenating hair follicles stuck in the telogen (resting) phase of the hair growth cycle, transitioning them into the anagen (growth) phase. This process fosters a longer hair growth cycle, resulting in thicker, healthier hair while preventing hair miniaturization and brittleness caused by aging.
When used in conjunction with Scalp PRP–either alone or with the Wharton’s Jelly upgrade–and our proven GRŌ© applications, topical exosome therapy effectively promotes essential functions for healthy hair growth, including improved blood supply to damaged tissue, collagen regeneration, activation of dormant genes, reversal of tissue degeneration, new tissue growth, and an extended hair growth cycle.
By combining topical exosome therapy with our other proven hair restoration solutions in a series of three sessions over three months, each consisting of one trillion exosomes, many patients experience natural hair growth as early as two to three months after the initial application, with continuous new hair growth over the course of a year. This comprehensive approach yields the best possible results for our clients.
The time for settling for hair loss and thinning is over. With comprehensive hair restoration solutions like Scalp PRP with or without Wharton’s Jelly, GRŌ© hair loss products, and topical exosome therapy from Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, you can finally have the healthy, robust hair you’ve always wanted. Don’t let hair loss take over your life; schedule an appointment with OMC today to find out how you can regrow your hair and regain your confidence.
Topical exosome therapy extends the hair growth cycle by enabling dormant hair follicles in the telogen phase to shift into the anagen phase, the active growth phase. This process is crucial because, just like other parts of our body, hair follicles also age. However, unlike other cells, follicular cells undergo aging with each growth cycle, leading to shrinkage and increased brittleness during phase transitions. Gradually, hair strands keep diminishing after each telogen phase until growth eventually ceases, a process that typically spans decades but may occur much earlier for many men.
Numerous hair care products can offer some degree of hair growth cycle extension, but none can rival the remarkable outcomes of topical exosome therapy. through topical exosome application, the hair growth cycle remains prolonged, resulting in the development of thicker and healthier hair strands.org
At Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, we’re proud to provide our patients with the finest topical exosome therapy available in commercial medicine. Our approach involves using an impressive one trillion exosomes per session, ensuring exceptional results at a more affordable cost. In contrast, our competitors utilize only a fraction of this amount, offering a subpar product that diminishes the effectiveness of their results.
Exosomes remain in the body for approximately 6-8 months following the last application, after which they undergo natural absorption.
Almost anyone observed with pattern baldness may be a candidate for GRŌ© therapy, with the exception of pregnant and pre-menopausal women. Pregnant women should avoid any exposure to GRŌ© products.
Once your OMC physician has determined that you are a good candidate for GRŌ©, our medical team will draw your baseline hormone levels to serve as a measurement for tracking progress over time.
GRŌ© products are formulated from a non-sticky propylene glycol-free base that is not messy and does not leave behind an oily appearance or residue after application. GRŌ© Plus (Formula 82F) is dosed at between 20-30 drops applied directly to the scalp twice daily. Allow the product to air dry for at least 3 minutes, then style hair as usual.
Because GRŌ© products are applied topically, the side effects are minimal. In general, topical solutions of these medications boast the same efficacy and effectiveness of oral versions but with risk of negative side effects because they cannot enter the bloodstream as easily. Patients with lighter hair and/or complexions may notice some redness on the scalp, but this is usually a result of the product stimulating blood vessels in the scalp and not a true side effect of the medication.
However, as with all medications and therapies, side effects are possible. If you experience any of the following, be sure to report it to your doctor:
Topical minoxidil may cause symptoms like fainting, trouble breathing, allergic reactions, or dizziness, while tretinoin may cause mild burning, scaling, stinging, itching, or redness of the scalp, mild skin color changes, mild dryness, and chapping or slight peeling of the skin.
